The Miami Heat haven't been very busy in the offseason thus far. They were able to re-sign a couple of their players to new deals, but there haven't been any significant transactions from their end.

At this point, the Heat are being linked to New York Knicks swingman Cam Reddish. The potential addition of the 22-year-old to Miami's squad won't be groundbreaking by any means, but he could be another key piece of the rotation for coach Erik Spoelstra.

This report comes via NBA insider Ian Begley during a recent podcast appearance:

“I would assume the Knicks are picking up the phone on calls that they get,” Begley shared, via Cory Nelson of FanNation. “I do know that Miami is among the teams that has spoken to the Knicks about Reddish specifically.”

You have to note that according to Begley, the Heat are just one of the teams that appear to have interest in the former lottery pick. Reddish, who played just 15 games for the Knicks last season following a mid-season trade from the Atlanta Hawks, didn't have the best of campaigns last year, but it is clear that teams from around the league still see some value in the former Duke standout. After all, he's just 22, and there's definitely a lot of potential there.

The Knicks have a team option on Cam Reddish's deal for the 2022-23 season. That will be the final year of his current contract, which means that he's going to be a free agent in the summer of 2023.
