The Charlotte Hornets just can’t seem to remain at full strength. The team has continued to battle injuries to their players throughout the season, and it has been reported recently that they will miss the services of Cody Zeller for the next six weeks due to a torn meniscus in his left knee, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

This is certainly a huge blow to the Hornets, as they are already struggling lately, and have lost seven of their last eight games. Zeller has also been a fixture in their rotation, and producing decent numbers of 7.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 19.9 minutes per game, serving as the primary backup of Dwight Howard at the center spot.

The team just welcomed the return of Nicolas Batum early last month, as well as Kemba Walker last week, after missing a couple of games because of a shoulder injury. With Zeller now slated to miss a significant amount of time, Frank Kaminsky is expected to see an uptick is his playing time and should see minutes both at the four and five positions. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist could also play power forward in some stretches, depending on matchups.
