LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets took part in the most important game of their season on Wednesday in a do-or-die Play-In game against the Atlanta Hawks. Unfortunately for them, their trip to the arena before their big game did not exactly go according to plan.

As it turns out, the Hornets' team bus got held up as they were making their way to the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The players literally had to walk their way to the stadium amid the unforeseen delay (h/t Bleacher Report on Twitter):

Hornets big man Montrezl Harrell was the one documenting their trip and he was laughing about the incident. Miles Bridges, however, wasn't too pleased about the unfortunate development.

It was unclear how far the players had to walk but I'm guessing it wouldn't have been too burdensome of a trip. There were no reported injuries from the unexpected stroll.

The winner of Wednesday's Play-In contest will keep their playoff hopes alive. They face off against the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday to determine the eighth and final seed in the West. The loser goes home with their season officially ended.
