Former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson will be in attendance at Hard Rock Stadium on Thursday night when the Jacksonville Jaguars drive several hours south to visit the Miami Dolphins in a preseason battle of Florida's professional football teams. What's still unknown as kickoff quickly approaches, though, is for which team the six-time Pro Bowler will be rooting.

Jaguars superstar cornerback Jalen Ramsey personally offered Johnson tickets to Thursday night's contest. But Johnson briefly played for the Dolphins and also grew up in Miami Beach, ensuring his allegiance wouldn't be so easily won by his friendship with Ramsey. Apparently confused by his dueling loyalties, Johnson posed the question to his Twitter followers about whether he should be rooting for Jacksonville, Miami, or force his fandom to remain neutral.

“I’m so torn right now, Jalen Ramsey giving me a ticket to the game but I’m a Dolphins fan, can i still heckle the Jaguar players or do i have to remain neutral?” he wrote.

Johnson is best known for his long tenure with the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2000s. A second-round pick in 2001, the Oregon State product began establishing himself as one of football's most dangerous pass-catchers during his sophomore season, hauling in 69 catches for 1,166 yards and five touchdowns. He made the Pro Bowl each of the next five seasons before returning in 2009.

Johnson's stellar NFL career came to a close in 2012. Shortly after signing with his hometown Dolphins and legally re-changing his surname from Ochocinco, Johnson was arrested and subsequently released.
