After dealing away their main contributors in recent years, the Jacksonville Jaguars saw an unexpected resurgence and delivered a big-time win against division favorites Indianapolis Colts. The Jags carved a hard-earned 27-20 victory as they hosted the Colts on Sunday.

Sophomore quarterback Gardner Minshew was playing comfortably in the pocket and threw a total of 173 passing yards on an efficient 19 of 20 passes completed en route to three scored touchdowns. He also liked the energy that he saw from his teammates in their opening game triumph.

“When they are playing with confidence, you love a young team that plays with confidence,” Minshew said of his teammates, via the team's official website. “They have the energy. They got that swag about them.”

The Jaguars' front office favored heading onto a different direction and set their sights on incorporating a youth movement in Jacksonville.

The young guys led the way with undrafted running back James Robinson contributing 62 yards on 16 carries and added a 28-yard reception. Rookie wideout receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. joined the point production by catching three passes for 37 yards, including a 15-yard touchdown.

The team also had help on the opposite side of the field as first-round cornerback C.J. Henderson remained pesky all throughout and had an interception along with three passes defended. Nose tackle DaVon Hamilton and defensive end K'Lavon Chaisson each had two tackles of their own.

The Jaguars made up for their roster's shallow depth by executing game plans and promptly capitalizing on the errors of their opponents. They will aim to prove that their first win was no fluke as they face the Tennessee Titans next on September 20.
