Jacksonville Jaguars fans were able to breathe a sigh of relief after rookie running back Leonard Fournette was involved in a fender-bender just days after their victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Divisional Round. However, there has since been an interesting development involved with the accident.

Fournette had reportedly been rear-ended on the I-295 in Jacksonville. Ironically, the passengers in the other car happened to be Steelers fans, according to USA TODAY Sports:

“I wasn’t really worried about it,” Fournette said. “But the funny thing is, it was Pittsburgh fans. Know what I mean? They were from Pittsburgh, they came to Jacksonville to drop the in-laws off.”

Fortunately, no one was hurt in the accident. The biggest casualty was Fournette's lucrative Mercedes-Maybach 6.

“I’ve got to get a whole new car,” Fournette said. “But at least nobody got hurt.”

It is encouraging to see that Fournette was able to laugh at the situation despite claims of sabotage by the Steelers from Jaguars fans. Needless to say, there is no love lost between these two times after Jacksonville handed Pittsburgh their two most disappointing losses of the 2017 NFL season.

Interestingly enough, Fournette was perhaps the biggest reason for both of the Jaguars' victories. The rookie phenom ran for a combined 290 yards and five touchdowns on 53 carries in two games against the Steelers this season. Fournette even admitted that his two best runs of the year came in Jacksonville's first showdown with Pittsburgh. That said, perhaps a hit to his bank account was the best form of revenge Steelers fans could get.
