Trevor Lawrence's highly anticipated rookie season in the NFL isn't going much better on Sunday. Adding to the No. 1 overall pick's considerable early-career woes with the Jacksonville Jaguars is this ugly flea-flicker attempt against the Arizona Cardinals, easily returned for a touchdown by cornerback Byron Murphy Jr.

Lawrence, obviously, wasn't helped here by an interior offensive line that failed to give him enough time to reset his feet upon taking the pitch from Jaguars running back Carlos Hyde. Decision-making has been the rookie's biggest issue this season, though, and remained as much as he tried to throw off his backfoot while under pressure to a receiver who was clearly covered over the top by a ball-hawking defender in Murphy.

Yikes.

Lawrence entered Sunday's action completing just 50 percent of his throws en route to 450 yards, four touchdowns and five interceptions. Though a leaky offensive line and clear adjustment period for head coach Urban Meyer have certainly played a part in his struggles, the expectation was a prospect of Lawrence's exceedingly rare caliber would be able to overcome the many issues bound to befall the Jaguars this season.

Not yet. Here's hoping Lawrence is able to regroup from a tough start to his rookie campaign over the season's remainder.
