Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Yannick Ngakoue has reported to the team's training camp on Sunday, thus ending his 11-day holdout, ESPN's Michael DiRocco reports.

Ngakoue, 24, was absent from Jacksonville's minicamp earlier in the summer, hoping to secure a better deal than his $2 million rookie contract. It was reported the former Maryland standout was offered a contract from Jacksonville worth $19 million per year before negotiations were ruptured. The Jaguars also drafted Kentucky's Josh Allen, an outside linebacker, with the seventh overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Jacksonville selected Ngakoue in the third round of the 2016 round and he's since recorded an eye-popping 29.5 career sacks in three short seasons in the NFL, propelling his brief professional tenure onto the superstardom track. Ngakoue has the Jaguars rookie record with eight sacks in his first seasons. Ngakoue has also appeared in every available game for the Jaguars—48 regular-season games across his three years.

Last season, Ngakoue recorded 28 combined tackles, 33 QB hits, 13 tackles for loss, and 9.5 sacks.

Ngakoue isn't the only premier defensive player for the Jags entering training camp with a financial bone to pick. Star cornerback Jalen Ramsey arrived at the team's offseason camp with an armored truck last week, signaling the fourth-year DB is looking for a new contract, too.

Ramsey, Ngakoue, and more have been the backbone and lifeblood of a Jaguars team—the identity of a strong and relentless defense in the presence of an ever-flailing offense. The Jags have hoped to rectify that, too, however, by signing Super Bowl-winning quarterback Nick Foles to a four-year contract earlier this year.
