Sam Darnold of the New York Jets is trying to move on from the now-popular moment where he compared the New England Patriots defense to ghosts. However, the Jacksonville Jaguars aren't letting him get away with it fast enough.

During their Week 8 duel with the New York Jets, the Jaguars showcased the young quarterback's misplays against their defense on their jumbotron. As if that wasn't enough, they had the cheeky idea to insert a familiar tune to taunt the second-year QB.

It's a hilarious tip of the hat to the comment Sam Darnold made against the New England Patriots defense. Of course, the team would rather just move on from the entire thing, but the moment was pure gold when it came to its meme value.

However, there have been efforts to clarify the “seeing ghosts” issue. For those unfamiliar with the term, to say you're seeing ghosts is to not have a clue with what the opponents are doing. That's a perfectly logical explanation as the Pats defense has been nothing short of brilliant as of late.

Moreover, Jets head coach Adam Gase is just eager to move on from the entire issue. He gave an encouraging message to his quarterback after the entire fiasco.

“You’ve got to clear your mind, got to make sure you go into this game focused on this game,’’ Gase said, per the New York Post. “What happened last week is irrelevant. You have to learn from it, but it’s gone. There’s nothing we can do about it now.’’

However, it seems like the ghosts didn't leave his sights as the Jets fall short to the Jaguars.
