President Joe Biden took a dramatic spill during the Air Force Academy graduation ceremony in Colorado Springs, Colo. Gasps filled the air as Biden stumbled and fell to his knees while handing out the final diploma. The incident occurred when he appeared to trip on a black sandbag on the stage, causing him to crash to the ground on his side, TMZ reports. Secret Service agents and an Air Force officer rushed to his aid and helped him up.

Despite the fall, Biden, who at 80 is the oldest president in U.S. history, seemed to be okay and continued to stand as the ceremony concluded a few minutes later. Fox News reporter Matt Finn noted that the strong sun during parts of the graduation may have contributed to the incident, but Biden remained alert and in good stamina throughout the event.

White House communications director Ben LaBolt reassured the public in a tweet, stating, “He's fine. There was a sandbag on stage while he was shaking hands.”

This is not the first time President Biden has experienced a public stumble. Last summer, he fell while trying to dismount from his bike at Cape Henlopen State Park near his Delaware beach home, but he reported no injuries. Additionally, he has tripped but quickly regained his balance while ascending the stairs to board Air Force One.

Despite these occasional falls, President Biden continues to serve as an example of resilience and determination. His ability to get back on his feet after these incidents reflects his unwavering commitment to carrying out his responsibilities.
