LeBron James caught a lot of heat how he handled the fallout from the NBA’s relationship with China. WWE icon John Cena can now join him in the ‘money over everything’ club.

John Cena, who called Taiwan a country, took to Twitter to apologize to all of China and to let them know how much he loves their communist country.

“Hi China, I’m John Cena. I’m in the middle of Fast and Furious 9 promotions. I’m doing a lot of interviews. I made a mistake in one of my interviews,” the WWE legend said in his apology video.

“Everyone was asking me if I could use Chinese – [movie] staff gave me a lot of information, so there was a lot of interviews and information,” John Cena continued. “I made one mistake. I have to say something very, very, very important now. I love and respect China and Chinese people. I’m very, very sorry about my mistake. I apologize, I apologize, I’m very sorry. You must understand that I really love, really respect China and the Chinese people. My apologies. See you.”

So, yeah. It would have been nice of John Cena knew a little more about China before making the initial mistake, but this seems like a drastic overreaction. For all the heat LeBron James got, at least he didn’t cut a pro-China promo or anything.
