Kim Kardashian is back in the makeup biz. The SKIMS founder announced Wednesday (Jan. 17) that she will be re-launching KKW Beauty with a new name and a new twist on the old formula. After having success with SKKN, the billionaire's skincare line, she has decided to combine the two to form: SKKN BY KIM MAKEUP.

“SKKN BY KIM MAKEUP, where skin-loving formulas meet high-performance glam,” the California native wrote about the skincare benefits in her makeup line. “I’ve recently been taking a skin-first approach towards my beauty routine. In developing @SKKN BY KIM Makeup, my goal was not only to create universally-flattering cosmetic essentials, but also to ensure that our products are clean, hydrating, and help improve the look and feel of skin with every wear.”

The reality star then went on to introduce the first set of products that the line will sell. “Meet your new makeup bag must-haves, inspired by my iconic smoky eye and nude lip:”

  • Soft Matte Lip Color: 10 full-coverage velvety matte lipsticks
  • Lip Liner: 15 long-wear matte lip pencils
  • Classic Mattes Eyeshadow Palette: 12 universally flattering, warm and cool nude shadows in silky matte finishes
  • SKKN BY KIM Makeup will launch on January 26th at 9AM PST. Fans can visit her site SKKNBYKIM.com to join the waitlist.

    Kim Kardashian Teases Makeup Comeback

This announcement follows the hint Kardashian shared on social media this week. The mom of four posted a video of her acknowledging fans' comments on the SKKN Instagram account.

“Alright guys, so I have been reading the comments on the SKKN account,” the mom of four said in an Instagram Reel posted collaboratively with her skincare line SKKN BY KIM on Tuesday, January 16. “And so many of you want us to bring color cosmetics back.”

“Guys, I hear you,” Kim said after reading comments left on the skincare account by fans trying to convince the beauty mogul to return to cosmetics. The Instagram Reel ended with the date 1/26/24 which is presumably the day she will let us know if our dreams will become a reality.

She shut down both KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrances to rebrand in 2021. However, she hasn't spoken about a comeback to makeup until Wednesday's (Jan. 17) announcement.
