Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Danny Green says he and star LeBron James won't be bringing back their handshake and dance routines from when they were teammates on the Cleveland Cavaliers during James' first stint with the Cavs.

Green says he and LeBron are older now and have to save their energy for the games:

“We’re a little older, a bit rusty, and don’t do as much dancing as we used to,” Green told Wosny Lambre of The Athletic. “We save that energy for the court. But you never know, we’re in the Staples Center where all kinds of music gets played. You might be in the mood. But like I said, as you get older, you save your energy for the important stuff that might happen on the court.”

With the Toronto Raptors last season, Danny Green shot a career-high 45.5 percent from beyond the arc. The sharpshooter figures to get a lot of wide-open looks on the Lakers playing alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

LeBron and Davis often command double-teams when they have the ball in the paint. Both stars are willing passers and will look for Green on the perimeter when they get doubled.

Green is a two-time NBA champion and one of the best shooters in the game. He holds career averages of 9.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists while shooting 42.4 percent from the field and 40.4 percent from the 3-point line.
