It has now been over a month since Anthony Davis has been out of action for the Los Angeles Lakers due to a mid-foot sprain. At the onset of the injury, the Lakers announced that AD would be re-evaluated in four weeks' time and now that that timetable has elapsed, LA supporters are currently waiting for some good news with regard to the eight-time All-Star's return date.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel spoke out on Davis' injury on Friday prior to LA's matchup against the Raptors in Toronto. Unfortunately, Vogel's most recent update doesn't give us much to go with:

“Anthony has had a good week,” Vogel said, via Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet. “… He’s had a productive week.”

Vogel refused to provide a timetable on Davis' return nor did he share any details pertaining to his progress in rehab. The Lakers shot-caller did imply that AD is doing well in his road to recovery, but Vogel also decided to withhold further information about Davis' status:

“Just on-court shooting and he’s responded well to it,” Vogel added. “He’ll be on the court tonight pregame. But that’s the extent of what we’re giving out.”

Depending on where you're sitting, I guess you can consider this as good news. There appear to have been no setbacks for AD but whether or not he will be able to return to action in the near future remains to be anyone's guess.
