Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis just turned 27 years old in March.

But some—like Metta World Peace—are already charting his path to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.

World Peace told Heavy.com's Scoop B. Robinson he thinks Davis will be eventually see his own induction, though he also brought about an interesting comparison to Dwight Howard.

The former Lakers star said Howard has had the “better career,” adding he thinks Davis needs to surpass Howard in terms of accolades:

“I haven’t watched a lot of Anthony Davis over the years because like, he’s in New Orleans and you’re only watching the championship teams. So if you’re a hardcore NBA fan, you know everything about Anthony Davis. I’ve played in the NBA. So me playing in the NBA, I knew about Anthony Davis, but I didn’t know that he was THAT good. I mean you see he’s an All-Star at the All-Star Game you Anthony Davis, there go Anthony Davis. But when you actually watch him play, him being a Laker and watching in all those Lakers games with that style of play, I didn’t know he was like, that great. He’s entering greatness right now, he’s a Hall of Famer definitely but I think he has to get past Dwight because Dwight has had the better career with his 4 Defensive Player of the Year trophies which is crazy. But I think he has some work to do but he’s a great player.”

Davis might not yet have a Defensive Player of the Year Award to his name (Howard actually has three, contrary to World Peace's statement), but he is one of the favorites to win this year.

Moreover, Davis has already been named to three All-NBA teams, with a fourth selection likely to come at the end of the season.

Dwight does have quite the resume, though he is far removed from being one of the best bigs in the game. Davis, on the other hand, is just entering his prime.
