It’s more often that we see Kyle Kuzma roasting teammate Josh Hart on social media than not, but Monday night featured a rare time in which Kuzma used the powers of the internet to express love for his Los Angeles Lakers teammate.

Kuzma is clearly campaigning for Hart to win the MVP honors in the 2018 NBA Summer League. The former Villanova Wildcats star is having himself quite an experience in Las Vegas. In five games, Hart has accrued averages of 21.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.6 steals. And he’s not done yet, as he has a game left to dazzle Lakers fans after leading the team to a heart-pounding 112-109 double-overtime victory in the semifinals over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday.

Against the Cavs, Hart dropped 37 points to go with six 3-pointers, nine rebounds, an assist, a block, and a steal in 34 minutes of work on the floor. It was the same performance that prompted Kuzma to decide he would be a good guy today to laud Hart. Obviously, Kuzma was so impressed of Hart’s performance that he felt he had to suspend his regular trolling of the former Big East Player of the Year Award winner.

The Lakers are simply hoping that Hart can parlay his Summer League into a breakout 2018-19 season campaign. In his rookie year, Hart mustered a stat line of 7.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 63 games.
