Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma has some choice words for New Orleans Pelicans fans who booed Anthony Davis in his return to the Big Easy.

Davis, who was dealt to the Lakers this summer after demanding a trade midway last season, received plenty of jeers from the home crowd at Smoothie King Center. It was his first game against his former team since the blockbuster offseason deal, so the boos were expected.

However, Kuzma certainly did not like it and expressed his thoughts after the game. In a rather savage burn, Kuz slammed Pelicans fans and told them to “boo their own team for letting him drop 40.”

For what it's worth, Davis scored 41 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Lakers to a narrow 114-110 victory over New Orleans.

Kuzma, for his part, chipped in 16 points on top of five rebounds and two assists.

Sure enough, this latest comments from Kuzma will do nothing but spark more animosity between the two teams and their fan base. The Lakers and Pelicans still have three meetings left, though Kuz and Co. won't play in Smoothie King until March 1 — which is also their last matchup of the season.

Kuzma can now expect to be heavily booed as well when he plays in New Orleans. Pelicans fans, however, could only hope that he won't drop 40 on them when they give him that type of reception.
