Think Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma doesn't like all of the national attention his team receives? Think again.

When asked on SiriusXM NBA Radio how he feels about the amount of press the Lakers get, he had this to say:

“I mean for me, I wouldn't want it any other way,” said Kuzma. “I want people to talk about me, good or bad, because if they're not, you're not doing something right. I'd rather be talked about bad in L.A. than play in Orlando and not get talked about.”

So, basically, Kuzma is following the old adage that says there is no such thing as bad publicity.

Of course, that proverb is not always true, but I do see Kuzma's point.

If he played on a team like the Charlotte Hornets or, as he said, the Orlando Magic, would anyone really be talking about him? No disrespect to either of those two franchises, but they do not exactly play in huge media markets and don't get any national coverage at all.

Kuzma would still be seen as a nice young player, but he would not be looked at in the fashion he currently is as a member of the Lakers.

On the season, the 23-year-old is averaging 19.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists over 32.7 minutes per game while shooting 46.7 percent from the floor, 31.9 percent from three-point range and 76.5 percent from the free-throw line.

Kuzma, who played his collegiate basketball at the University of Utah, was originally selected by Los Angeles in the first round (27th pick overall) of the 2017 NBA Draft.
