It's one of the worst-kept secrets in the NBA: Isiah Thomas doesn't like Michael Jordan. Recently, Thomas weighed in on the seemingly endless GOAT debate involving MJ and LeBron James.

He joined Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast and quite unsurprisingly, he said LBJ is the clear-cut choice between the two megastars because of his legendary durability. Thomas also had some strong words on the topic.

“We have never seen a player like this in the NBA. He (LeBron) breaks a record every single night just to remind you you've never seen anything like this before. When it's all said and done, it's going to be hard for people to look back and say ‘He (LeBron) wasn't the best.'”

Thomas, who led the Detroit Pistons to back-to-back titles and was named Finals MVP in 1990, even went further and compared LeBron to one of the greatest athletes of all time.

“Imagine if Bo Jackson had stayed healthy and kept getting better. That's LeBron James.”

Certainly, LeBron's staggering achievements are to be lauded. It is true that his longevity coupled with his unparalleled production in 17 seasons gives him a leg-up on almost everyone else in NBA history. But the majority still consider Jordan as the GOAT because of his undefeated record in six trips to the NBA Finals.

Of course, Thomas is well known for his dislike and diminishment of Jordan, who he believes was instrumental in keeping him out of the famed Dream Team for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. The two also shared many on-court tussles during their heated rivalry in the late 80s and early 90s.
