The Los Angeles Lakers secured their fourth win of the season on Sunday after defeating the Houston Rockets, 95-85, in Staples Center. LeBron James and Co. came out with a relatively impressive performance in the victory and it prompted quite a reaction from Rockets head coach Stephen Silas.

After the game, Silas admitted that he's terrified by the Lakers' defensive prowess:

“I’m deathly afraid of their defense. They’re so big and long and experienced and can cover for each other,” Silas said, via Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times. “…When you have that size, when you have DJ [DeAndre Jordan] and Dwight [Howard] and then you have LeBron [James] and AD and then Russ [Westbrook], it’s hard not to be a really disruptive defensive team.”

The Lakers flexed their defensive chops against the Rockets, holding them down to just 35 points in the first half of action. It was a concerted effort from LA, with both LeBron and Russell Westbrook just a couple of rebounds and assists away from both logging a triple-double. Anthony Davis put up another double-double too, but it was Carmelo Anthony who perhaps had the most notable performance among all of the Lakers superstars on Sunday.

Melo dropped a game-high 23 points off the bench for LA while also amassing two steals and four blocks in 25 minutes of play. Anthony has never been the best defender out there, but the effort he gave against Houston is a clear example as to why Silas had nothing but praise for LA's defense.
