LeBron James has had plenty of special moments during his playing career. Multiple NBA championships and MVP awards have cemented his legacy as one of the greatest players ever, and his Los Angeles Lakers are rolling through the league right now.

But on Saturday night, James had a special moment as a father.

LeBron posted a very personal Instagram message after watching his son Bronny and Sierra Canyon High School defeat James' alma mater, St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Columbus, Ohio:

Bronny was named the MVP of the game after clinching the win with a crucial steal and go-ahead bucket in the final minute, as shown in the clip. He capitalized on a rare start (Bronny had been coming off the bench) to post 15 points in–as LeBron states–the best game of his young high school career.

The freshman phenom obviously has big shoes to fill, but he showcased some of the talents that have already made him one of the better prospects in prep basketball.

Still, it would be a miracle if Bronny ascended to LeBron-level hype.

James was and still is the most hyped prep sports prospect in history. He was a national sensation at St. Vincent-St.Mary, selling out arenas and frequently earning a national platform. In fact, the dominance of those SVSM teams inspired a 2008 documentary entitled “More than a Game.”

LeBron has been a massive support for Bronny since he first began making noise on the AAU circuit. James even said that he was “more nervous” for his son than during his own games.

But the cherry on top, fans hope, would be seeing LeBron and Bronny play in the NBA at the same time.
