The police officer involved in the killing of Breonna Taylor was only indicted on first-degree wanton endangerment charges. Protesters flocked to the streets to voice out their disagreement with the decision. Like them, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers expressed his frustration and vowed to do something about this injustice.

Via Twitter, James called the African-American woman the “most disrespected person on earth.”

In another tweet, LeBron James shared his innermost sentiments: how surprised he is at the verdict. He also sent his love to Taylor's family and friends. James apologized, too.

James also gave a shoutout to the African-American women in his life.

The two other police officers — both of which fired shots during the botched raid at Taylor's house — were not indicted. According to the district general, Sgt. John Mattingly and Det. Myles Cosgrove's use of force was justified since Taylor's boyfriend was the one who fired first. Ballistics analysis showed that Cosgrove fired the shot that killed Taylor.

As such, not a single person was charged for the killing of Taylor. Meanwhile, the charges against Brett Hankinson were quickly slammed by protestors and critics as insufficient and light.

Reports reveal that Hankinson's charges concern him allegedly firing blindly through a door and window. The bullets entered an adjoining apartment where a man, a pregnant woman, and a child were home.

Taylor is one of the victims of police brutality and racial injustice that NBA players have singled out. In interviews, pressers, and through their own social media accounts, NBA players have continually voiced their concerns and opinions about Taylor's case. Like James, they all want justice for the killing of Taylor. They want those officers involved in the raid to be put behind bars.
