The Minnesota Timberwolves unveiled their “Prince” themed city edition uniforms Thursday, and Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James wants one of Derrick Rose.

Rose, of course, is the talk of the NBA right now after dropping a whopping 50 points Wednesday against the Utah Jazz. The youngest MVP in NBA history has suffered four knee injuries, which made his performance even more special.

LeBron James and Derrick Rose were rivals for many years, but the two became teammates last season for the Cleveland Cavaliers. James says he was able to see how hard Rose works on a daily basis and how much of a competitor he is. Naturally, the two got closer even if they weren't teammates for that long, as Rose was traded to the Utah Jazz at the 2018 February trade deadline.

Derrick Rose played 41 minutes against the Jazz and was magnificent from start to finish. The Chicago native finished with 50 points while shooting 19-of-31 from the field, 4-of-7 from beyond the arc, and 8-of-11 from the free-throw line. He also dished out six assists, grabbed four rebounds and had the game-winning block on Jazz guard Dante Exum at the end of regulation from the right corner.

LeBron James posted a heartfelt message to D-Rose on Instagram. The King is clearly proud of what the Timberwolves guard was able to accomplish. Now he just needs Rose to hook him up with a city edition jersey.
