Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James thinks it could be a while before the team gets Brandon Ingram back on the court.

James had an incredible 42-point performance in Wednesday night's 121-113 victory over the San Antonio Spurs, which helped the Lakers move to 15-9 on the season.

Los Angeles has now won 13 of its last 17 games, but it appears that the hot streak will need to continue without the services of Ingram.

According to ClutchPoints' Lakers beat writer Ryan Ward, LeBron James said after the game that Brandon Ingram will be sidelined “for a while” and that others will need to step up in his absence.

Brandon Ingram suffered an ankle injury before being forced to leave the game early, and it certainly doesn't sound like LeBron is overly optimistic about the young star returning in the near future.

The 6-foot-9 forward is averaging 15.7 points per game this season and has undoubtedly played a big role in the Lakers' success to this point.

Not having him on the court for an extended period of time isn't ideal, but as LeBron James mentioned, that should give others a chance to step up in his place.

The Lakers will return to the court on Friday night for a rematch with the Spurs in San Antonio.
