The Los Angeles Lakers have stayed plenty busy at the start of free agency.

Just for those keeping track at home, LA so far has signed: Dwight Howard, Trevor Ariza, Wayne Ellington, Carmelo Anthony and Malik Monk. Let's not forget they traded for Russell Westbrook right before the NBA Draft as well. The Lakers are wheeling and dealing and it has former Laker Nick Young wanting in.

Of course, “Swaggy P” is at least half kidding on this tweet. Young hasn't played in the league since the 2018-19 season when he appeared in just four games for the Denver Nuggets. He notably spent 4 seasons with the Lakers from 2013-17 and it was during those years that Young found a lot of success on the court in elevating his game.

Now it appears he wants to join the party and who can blame him?

The Lakers are loading up to make another run at a title and clearly aren't sitting back and relaxing after getting bounced in the first round of the playoffs by the Phoenix Suns. If anything, it appears to have awoken LA even more.

With the players they are signing, guys like Howard, Ariza, Ellington, Melo, it's becoming very clear that the Lakers are emphasizing the now and aren't concerned about how things may look on the roster in three or four years.

It's going to be another season for the Los Angeles Lakers with lofty expectations where the goals will be as clear as they have been: title or bust.
