Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is under contract for at least one more season, but with the way this team is playing right now and the rumors circling on Twitter, the discussion of a possible LeBron trade has surfaced. Crazy, right?

Well, The King's agent, Rich Paul, has set the record straight. He recently spoke to Shams Charania of The Athletic and clarified that his client won't be leaving the Lakers anytime soon:

On Tuesday night, Kendrick Perkins tweeted out that James should potentially explore a trade back to the Cleveland Cavaliers because of how promising their young core is. That blew up Twitter and sent the rumors flying.

While the Lakers are struggling, trading LeBron is certainly not the answer. He is still proving to be capable of carrying a team, averaging over 26 points per game while also serving as one of LA's best rebounders and playmakers.

Shipping Bron out of town would basically mean the Lakers are resetting and starting with a clean slate. Sure, they're currently 16-16 and without Anthony Davis for a month, but all is not lost yet. There is so much time left to turn the ship around and get on track. Plus, it's pretty obvious that LeBron James isn't the problem. He is happy in Los Angeles and continues to stay focused on leading the Lakers to another title, although that possibility seems farfetched right now.
