LeBron James and Anthony Davis are reportedly the main reason why the Los Angeles Lakers don't have shootarounds on game day, per Joe Vardon of The Athletic.

The Lakers are averse to not only practicing but shooting around on game days down in Orlando, Florida, and it appears it's all because of James and Davis:

The Lakers, though, are averse to not only practicing, but shooting around on game days. They do have players who go to the gym to get up shots, but it’s voluntary and LeBron often isn’t there. I’ve gone so far as to say this whole situation, them having players gather in the mornings, but not call it a “shootaround,” is done to skirt rules about media access. The Lakers do not agree.

“LeBron James doesn’t want to do it (shootaround), Anthony Davis doesn’t want to do it. They kick ass when we don’t do it, so that’s it,” said someone who would know.

James and Davis are two of the best players in the NBA. While both superstars struggled in the Lakers' Saturday loss to the Toronto Raptors, if they don't feel like they need a morning shootaround on game day, then so be it.

LeBron, AD and the Lakers are back in action on Monday against the Utah Jazz. It's another opportunity for The King and The Brow to clinch the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference standings. The Los Angeles Clippers are currently 5.5 games behind the Lakers.

So far at Disney World, James is averaging 18.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists, while Davis is putting up 24.0 points, 7.0 boards and 3.5 dimes.
