Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James was not too enthralled with the fact that negotiations to make Ty Lue the team's next head coach fell apart, but he liked Instagram posts about the Lakers' decision to hire Frank Vogel and bring on Jason Kidd as an assistant, per Ohm Youngmisuk and Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

It looked like Lue was set to become Los Angeles' next head coach, but talks unraveled when the Lakers reportedly asked Lue to take on Kurt Rambis as an assistant coach.

Of course, Lue coached James during LeBron's second stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers and guided the Cavaliers to a championship in 2016 and three straight NBA Finals appearances overall.

He also served as an assistant on David Blatt's staff in 2015, when Cleveland made it to the finals and fell to the Golden State Warriors in James' first year back in Ohio.

Vogel is an experienced head coach and has plenty of experience coaching against James from his days with the Indiana Pacers, as Vogel's Pacers met James' Heat three years in a row in the playoffs between 2012 and 2014.

Kidd is also someone LeBron has seemed to endorse, and there were some who felt that the Hall-of-Fame point guard would actually become the next coach of the Lakers.

Vogel went 250-181 in five-and-a-half seasons with the Pacers, leading Indiana to five playoff appearances. He then moved on to coach the Orlando Magic for two seasons, where he posted a record of 54-110.

He did not coach in the NBA at all this season.
