Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon has requested a trade.

Jared Weiss and Sam Amick of The Athletic reported Gordon told the team he would like to be moved ahead of Thursday's trade deadline:

Aaron Gordon is ready for a relocation, as sources tell The Athletic that he asked Orlando Magic president of basketball operations Jeff Weltman for a trade through his representative in February.

The Athletic reported the Boston Celtics are among the teams keen on pursuing Gordon, though they are hardly alone.

The Houston Rockets have discussed a deal that would send Gordon to H-Town in exchange for a pair of first-round picks. All of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Denver Nuggets, and Portland Trail Blazers are reportedly involved in Gordon's market as well.

Gordon might want to head elsewhere, but it hardly guarantees his departure is imminent. The Athletic reported the Magic to have a very high price for Gordon's services, possibly demanding at least two first-round picks and a young player.

Will any of the interested suitors meet that price?

Gordon would certainly provide any number of teams with tremendous offensive playmaking. He is averaging 14.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, and a career-high 4.2 assist per game.

The former Arizona Wildcat is capable of playing either forward position. Gordon has the ability to take less athletic defenders off the bounce and make plays at the rim or set up his teammates. He is also shooting over 40 percent from beyond the arc on 4.4 attempts per game, which is sure to appeal to a mass of teams.

Who will win the Gordon sweepstakes? He should be one of the most interesting players to watch leading up to the trade deadline.
