Orlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac is excited to partake in Team USA's training camp for the FIBA World Cup. He has been picked to play for USA Basketball's 13-player select team, which will train and compete with the national basketball team from August 5-8 in Las Vegas.

Per Josh Robbins of The Athletic, Isaac said that he's happy to represent the Magic and help Team USA in whatever way he can.

“It’s exciting to hear your name called about anything, and I’m excited about getting out there and representing the Magic (and) just helping the big team get ready to go (and) for what they have to do. I think the biggest thing for the select team, what we’re (t)here for, is to learn from the older guys and to go up against them and just help them get ready to play.”

Jonathan Isaac is set to join fellow youngsters Jarrett Allen and Joe Harris (Brooklyn Nets), De’Aaron Fox and Marvin Bagley III (Sacramento Kings), Mikal Bridges (Phoenix Suns), Jalen Brunson (Dallas Mavericks), Trae Young and John Collins (Atlanta Hawks), Pat Connaughton (Milwaukee Bucks), Mitchell Robinson (New York Knicks), Landry Shamet (Los Angeles Clippers), and Derrick White (San Antonio Spurs).

Jonathan Isaac said that one of the things he's been working on in the offseason is gaining weight. He said he added 15 pounds since the end of last season, and he plans to use Team USA's training camp to see how he can use the extra muscle to his advantage.
