Mo Bamba scored a career-high with the Orlando Magic, against Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers of all teams. In the process, he also set a record that not even centers like Shaquille O'Neal and Dwight Howard achieved with the franchise.

The 23-year-old big man scored 32 points in the contest, and he did in a really efficient manner with a 12-of-15 shooting clip including 7-of-8 from deep. According to Stat Muse, that is the most triples ever made by a Magic center in a single game in franchise history.

Sure enough, that speaks a lot about how the game has changed and how big men need to be able to shoot now. Regardless, though, the likes of Shaquille O'Neal and Dwight Howard could have never done it given the fact that they made a living dominating the paint.

Moreover, it's still pretty impressive when you consider that Nikola Vucevic–who spent eight and half seasons with the Magic–wasn't able to do it despite shooting 35.6 percent of his triples with Orlando.

This could very well be the start of a big turnaround for Mo Bamba, who has been largely criticized for failing to live up to expectations of being the No. 6 pick in the storied 2018 NBA Draft class. For what it's worth, he stood his ground against Joel Embiid during Wednesday's showdown despite the Sixers star dropping 50 points of his own.
