Magic power forward Aaron Gordon scored the first points of the game at the free-throw line. The NBA is back:

Joakim Noah scored the Clippers' first basket moments later:

The first few minutes of this game were ugly, but that was to be expected since players haven't played since March.

The Clippers have already clinched a spot in the 2020 playoffs, while the Magic are in the eighth seed in the East and will try and hold off the Washington Wizards during the seeding games. Orlando can also get the seventh seed if the Brooklyn Nets falter.

Before the season was suspended in March, Vucevic was averaging 19.5 points, 11.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists for the Magic in 54 games. He was also shooting 47.0 percent from the field, 32.9 percent from beyond the arc and 78.1 percent from the free-throw line.

The seeding games will start on July 30. The Magic will face the Nets, Sacramento Kings, Indiana Pacers, Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics and New Orleans Pelicans in the eight seeding games. Orlando and Brooklyn will play each other two times.

The Magic made the postseason in 2019 for the first time since 2012, which was the final season of the Dwight Howard era. The team lost to the Raptors in the first round of the postseason in five games.
