Ken is going to have to watch out because this Barbie has given him some competition. Margot Robbie who played Barbie in the Barbie film recently spoke to W Magazine alongside her Barbie costar Ryan Gosling (Ken) in the film about a crush she has on a fictional character. Robbie admitted that she has a crush on Aragorn from Lord of the Rings. Gosling clarified if she was referring to the character in the book in which she responded she was talking about Strider by Viggo Mortensen who was in the film franchise.

It's no secret that Barbie was a huge box office success making $1.4B. It was the highest grossing film in the U.S. in 2023. It was also the 14th highest-grossing film of all time.

Will We Get A Sequel To Barbie?

Although fans would love a Barbie 2 has not been confirmed for the Greta Gerwing-directed film.

“I think we put everything into this one. We didn’t build it to be a trilogy or something,” Robbie told the Associated Press in an interview. “Greta put everything into this movie, so I can’t imagine what would be next.”

“It doesn’t have to be a sequel or a prequel or a remake,” Robbie continued. “It can be totally original. It can still be big given the big budget to do that. And just because there’s a female lead doesn’t mean it’s not going to hit all four quadrants which is, you know, I think a misconception that a lot of people still have.”
