The Dallas Mavericks have been fined for the third time this postseason for their bench decorum, and their latest violation particularly angered league officials.

Dallas got hit with a $100,000 fine for their bench shenanigans in Game 2 against the Golden State Warriors, and according to USA Today, one moment from Friday's contest upset the league because it caused a turnover for the Dubs.

Late in the third quarter, Stephen Curry lost the ball after passing it to a standing Theo Pinson on the sidelines. Clearly, Curry thought Pinson was a teammate since the Mavs player was wearing a white sweater and raising his hands–as if asking for the ball.

Here's the specific play in question:

For what it's worth, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has no problem with the Mavs cheering for their teammates. He understands playoff basketball, and given what's at stake, it's normal for them to try to rally the team.

However, he emphasized that it should not come at the expense of the other team or cause a distraction at all, adding that interfering with the game is “too much.”

Considering that the Warriors were trying to get back in the contest at that point, it's no surprise why they were not happy with it. Had the Dubs lost to the Mavs, it would have been a major talking point.

The series now shifts to Dallas, and by the looks of it, it doesn't seem the Mavs have any plans of changing their antics.
