In the midst of a whirling free agency period, the dust has settled for the past month and free agent center Nerlens Noel is still waiting to receive an offer worthy of his contributions.

The lanky big man reportedly turned down an offer in the $17.5 million-a-year range from the Dallas Mavericks earlier this offseason, according to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders, hellbent on seeking max money despite an arid big man market.

Noel recently changed agents, hiring Rich Paul of Klutch Sports in hopes to net that amount for his services. However, his career averages of 10.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and and 1.5 blocks per game don't really warrant the type of contract he is seeking.

Noel has been plagued by injuries through his career and hasn't quite lived up to his full potential as the sixth overall pick of the 2013 NBA Draft.

Despite his knack for intangibles at the defensive end and his superior athleticism, the product on the court hasn't translated on the hardwood and owner Mark Cuban will have a hard time justifying giving Dirk Nowitzki a massive pay cut in his last few seasons to give it away to his frontcourt mate.

According to Kyler, Noel's change of agents is unlikely to net him a better offer down the road, especially given how teams have not attempted to shoot an offer to acquire him.
