Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks has improved every facet of his game in 2019-20 after a Rookie of the Year campaign last season. While already a brilliant passer, the Mavs point guard has upped his assists from 6.0 per game last season to 8.9 in 2019-20. Many of those passes are of the highlight variety, as indicated by this one against the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night.

Doncic’s presence for the Mavs on Thursday was a welcome sight considering the 20-year-old phenom had missed four straight games due to an ankle injury he sustained against an ankle sprain on December 14 against the Miami Heat.

Doncic is averaging 29.3 points, 9.6 rebounds and 8.9 assists in 32.2 minutes a night for the Mavs – staggering production for a player only in his second season in the NBA.
