Over the last couple of years, Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh has flirted with the idea of returning to the NFL, and Bruce Feldman of The Athletic and Fox Sports came out with a bold prediction about the upcoming season that has to do with the current NCAA investigation that will open some eyes during an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show.

“I think you also have a case, to be quite honest, where Jim Harbaugh has flirted with the NFL and last year, certainly with the Broncos. I think he wins a national title and rides off into the sunset and some NFL team grabs him,” Bruce Feldman said on The Rich Eisen Show, according to Nick Schultz of on3.com. “And then, he's just like, ‘See you, NCAA. I don't care what you do.'”

Michigan football self-imposed a three-game suspension for Harbaugh as part of the investigation into potential recruiting violations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The process for the investigation will extend beyond the 2023 season, according to Schultz.

Knowing that fact, it would make sense for Harbaugh to leave for the NFL after the upcoming season, especially if he wins the national championship.

Michigan has seen a lot of success over the last two seasons. They ended their losing streak against Ohio State, winning the last two matchups, and made the College Football Playoff in each of the last two seasons. The Wolverines got beaten by Georgia in the 2021 season, and got upset by TCU in the semifinal in the 2022 season.

Harbaugh has conquered Ohio State, and now it will be about taking the next step and winning a national title. If that happens, it will be interesting to see if Harbaugh does leave for the NFL.
