Although training camp may be in full wing for the Tennessee Titans, there is still one notable face missing in outside linebacker Vic Beasley. It seems not even head coach Mike Vrabel is able to provide an accurate update on his status.

Despite having yet to check in, Vrabel said during a recent press conference that Beasley is fully expected to join the team, via ESPN's Turron Davenport:

“He's not here. Everybody else is. He was under contract, we expect him to be here,” Vrabel said. “I have not reached out, I have not had much conversation with him and we still look forward to getting him in here. I want to coach him and I want him to be a part of this football team so that's where I'm at.”

The Titans were forced to place Beasley on the reserve/did not report list after failing to show up for coronavirus (COVID-19) testing last week. Vrabel's comments indicate that the team has not received any word on the reasoning behind his recent holdout from training camp.

Tennessee was hoping to get plenty of bang for their buck from Beasley after signing him to a $9.5 million deal that included a $6 million signing bonus in free agency. Unfortunately, his unknown whereabouts have now resulted in unnecessary distractions heading into the 2020 campaign.

Expectations remain as high as ever for the Titans following an unprecedented offseason due to the ongoing pandemic. Vic Beasley will have until the Thursday 4 p.m. ET deadline to decide on whether or not he wants to opt out of playing this season.
