Fresh off a dominant opening night win against the Brooklyn Nets, the reigning NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks are looking even more dominant to start off their 2021-22 NBA campaign. With a new and improved Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the way for this deep and dynamic Bucks team, this year's championship is without a doubt theirs to lose.

Laser focused and ready to repeat as NBA champions in 2022, the Bucks have a lot going for them after hanging their title banner and receiving their NBA championship rings on Tuesday night. Now that they've picked up right where they left off from last season, let's discuss the five biggest questions facing the Milwaukee Bucks for the 2021-22 NBA season.

Milwaukee Bucks questions for 2021-22 NBA season

Can Giannis win another league MVP and NBA DPOY Award?

Coming off his first NBA championship and finals MVP, Giannis is continuing to build his Hall-Of-Fame resume and finding new ways to make history. As arguably the most dominant two-way player in the game right now, Giannis has shown time and again that he'll do whatever it takes to lead his team to victory and the effect he has on this team is absolutely contagious. Given his value to the team and all he does for them on both ends of the floor, it begs the question: could he win another league MVP and NBA DPOY Award?

Considering what he's already accomplished at this juncture in his playing career, it wouldn't be that crazy to seem him nab another MVP and deny Rudy Gobert of a Defensive Player of the Year Award four-peat. In spite of all the new talent and superstars that will be amongst this year's MVP candidates, it'll definitely be challenging for Giannis to pull this off, but he's done it before and is certainly capable of achieving this again.

Will they lack defensive tenacity after the loss of P.J. Tucker?

Despite playing a pivotal part in the Bucks bringing an NBA championship back to Milwaukee for the first time since 1971, P.J. Tucker chose to take his talents to South Beach during 2021 NBA Free Agency. Even though that was a huge blow to the Bucks and they lost one of the best 3-and-D players in the league, they did recover nicely by re-signing Bobby Portis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo and adding Rodney Hood and Grayson Allen.

So they definitely have the depth and tenacity to go toe-to-toe with the league's most star-studded squads, but there's still a long season ahead of us and only time will tell if the loss of Tucker truly creates a void. It didn't seem to faze them in the slightest during their dominant opening night win against the Nets, but it's just one game and they'll need a bigger sample size to see if this really created a gap in their roster that still needs to be filled.

Are the Milwaukee Bucks the most complete team in the NBA?

With a bona fide superstar in Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the way for Milwaukee, and a stellar supporting cast led by Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton, and Brook Lopez, the Bucks very well could have the most complete team in the NBA. Coming off their big opening night win against a star-studded Brooklyn Nets team that was seeking revenge from last year's playoffs, the Bucks looked absolutely unstoppable as Giannis lead the way for them.

Every key member of their rotation was making big contributions during their blowout win. In their pursuit of a second straight title, the Bucks are already looking like the most well-rounded team in the NBA. We're only one game into the 82-game NBA season, but Tuesday night's strong performance was only a sign of good things to come for Milwaukee.

The key for them will be keeping this level of production throughout the entire season and the playoffs. If they're able to achieve this then they'll be absolutely unstoppable. However, they've still got a long road ahead of them and there's it's way too early to tell if they will be able to maintain they're status as deepest team in the league.

Who will pose the biggest threat to dethroning Milwaukee in the Eastern Conference?

After seamlessly dismantling the Nets in their first game of the season, the Bucks now look built to beat anybody they cross paths with. This does beg the question though: who poses the biggest threat to the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference? More games will have to be played before this can be known for certain, but as of right now it looks like they can handle the Nets with no problems at all.

They still have to prove themselves against the Heat, Sixers, and Hawks, but given the experience, depth, and talent they currently possess, it doesn't seem like they'll have any issue with these teams either. So until further notice, it still remains a mystery as to who their biggest challenger in the Eastern Conference will be.

Can the Milwaukee Bucks repeat as NBA champions in 2022?

Now that they've claimed their stake as the team-to-beat in the NBA, the Bucks will have a target on their backs all year long. Looking to repeat as NBA champions and take the league by storm once again, the Milwaukee Bucks are hoping to bring another title back to the Fiserv Forum. However, they did benefit from the pandemic shortened offseason and won't have that luxury this time around.

Especially now that all their opponents have had a full offseason to rest, recover, and prepare new game plans heading into this season. Even with this minor difference, the Milwaukee Bucks will still be locked in and ready for whatever challenge comes their way. So it all comes down to consistency on both ends of the floor for the Bucks this season.
