The Minnesota Timberwolves decided to poke fun at Dwyane Wade and his now infamous NBA Dunk Contest rating.

After posting a video of their mascot Crunch dunking with one hand off a trampoline, the team captioned the video ‘@DwyaneWade gave this a 9 smh'

The team's caption is an obvious jab at Wade, who controversially gave Aaron Gordon the same rating in the title-deciding dunk during the 2020 NBA Dunk Contest. It paved the way for Wade's Miami Heat mentee to win the competition.

However, rather than let the internet jokes offend him, Wade quoted the tweet with a (seemingly) sarcastic remark as he joined in on the joke.

Dwyane Wade, now an NBA analyst for TNT, enjoyed a 16-year career that saw him retire as arguably the best player in Heat history and one of the best players of his era.

While the Timberwolves aren't the first team to poke fun at Wade for his Dunk Contest decisions, the former superstar certainly created a bit of controversy on the internet after his decision.
