Kevin Durant took to Instagram on Thursday night to give a shoutout to Chris Webber for his coverage of LeBron James' first game as a Los Angeles Laker. The Warriors star mentioned how well Webber explains the game. Even some of the best minds in basketball can have a hard time explaining what happens on the court clearly. But according to Durant, Webber doesn't have that problem:

Webber has definitely improved from his early days of commentating when he was asking Brent Barry if he would eat tiger, but fans still aren't completely sold on him. During the 2017 NCAA Tournament, Webber was ripped for his commentary and fans were left mostly confused by what he said.

Webber was an amazing player in college and the NBA. It's unfortunate that his career gets boiled down to one play he made when he was 20 years old. He was a beast on the Fab Five and was a stud with the Sacramento Kings later in his career. If not for some questionable officiating in the Western Conference Finals of 2002, Webber could even have that elusive championship ring.

Webber has the resume to back up his talk, but he definitely comes out with strange ways of explaining things at times. Kevin Durant is giving him props for how he called LeBron James' debut, and he did do a pretty good job.

Hopefully, Webber continues to improve because there is really nothing worse than having to listen to fans on Twitter complain about announcers and commentators.
