LaVar Ball is known for making outrageous and controversial statements about his sons in the NBA, and it doesn't look  like he's stopping any time soon.

In his most recent outrageous statement, he claimed his youngest son, LaMelo Ball, can beat Stephen Curry in a one-on-one matchup. LaVar expressed his belief that his son's height will benefit him against the two-time NBA MVP.

“Stop it, LaMelo,” LaVar Ball said during Bleacher Report's AMA when asked who'd win in a one-on-one game. “Steph is too little, he's only like 6'3″ or 6'2″. LaMelo is taller than him and longer than him.”

There's no denying that LaVar is right on the first part of his hot take. LaMelo Ball is listed at 6-foot-8, which is far taller than Curry who stands at 6-foot-3. However, Curry–who's known to be one of the best point guards in the NBA–is far more experienced than LaMelo.

Furthermore, even though Curry has the height  disadvantage, he has still been able to perform at an elite level against other players in the NBA. So with that being said, LaMelo likely has no chance against Curry, at least for now.

Nevertheless, there's no denying that LaMelo has the potential to be on Stephen Curry's level someday. Ball, who was selected by the Charlotte Hornets in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft, has not disappointed in his preseason games. In his preseason debut on Saturday, Ball finished with 10 rebounds and four assists despite failing to score.

Ball is expected to make his regular season debut next Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
