CNN recently reported that the White House is planning to have President Donald Trump give out a speech addressing the current issue of racial discrimination that has gripped the entire nation. Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr did not exactly think this was a good idea, and the three-time NBA champion coach did not hold back with his reaction.

Steve Kerr took to Twitter to share his thoughts on this recent development:

Obviously, coach Kerr considers this idea as laughable. He did not have to say anything at all, but it is clear that Kerr does not believe that a speech from President Trump will do any good for the current situation. If anything, it might makes matters even worse. The President has been on the receiving end of a ton of backlash for how he has acted in the midst of the nationwide protests for racial equality.

Kerr has been one of many NBA personalities that have been staunch critics of the President. In the past, Kerr has criticized the government's effort to address the coronavirus pandemic, mocked a recent photo op of Trump, and even labelled the Commander-in-chief as a “racist” — among other things.

This is certainly not the first time Kerr has voiced his disdain for the President. Months ago, Kerr took a shot at Trump for how the President handled the China controversy. Trump fired back, and called Kerr “weak and pathetic.”

There is no love lost between these two, and for his part, it appears that Kerr has no intention of dialing back when it comes to criticizing the President.
