The Milwaukee Bucks have been part of a lot of headlines on Monday, mainly because of the firing of their head coach, Jason Kidd. However, another development has gone under the radar with news about Jabari Parker taking another step in his recovery from his ACL injury.
The team’s Twitter account posted an update that the former second overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft has been re-assigned to their G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd, to take part in practices to help him regain his conditioning ahead of his return.

It was reported last month that the Bucks are expecting Parker to make his long-awaited return after the All-Star break. He last played in an NBA game back in February and has since gone under the knife before starting a 12-month rehabilitation process. It’s already the second time he has suffered the same injury in three years, but if there’s any uplifting news for him and the team’s supporters, it's that he has proven that he can come back strong from it.
The former Duke Blue Devil had a solid campaign last year, when he appeared in 51 games for the Bucks and averaged career-high numbers of 20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists to go along with 1.0 steals in 33.9 minutes per game. The 22-year-old is expected to be slowly eased back to their rotation once he’s cleared to return and it will be interesting to see if he can get back to the same level he was playing at prior to his second ACL tear.
