It has been tumultuous 2017-18 NBA season for New York Knicks center Joakim Noah, to say the least. However, he still has a believer in Boston Celtics All-Star Al Horford.
Noah has hardly been active for the Knicks this season and looks to be on his way out. Despite his limited sample size as of late, Horford feels his former college teammate can contribute to any team in the NBA, according to ESPN's Ian Begley:
“He's just about the right things. He's the kind of guy you want around. I feel he can help any team.”
However, Horford still finds it hard to imagine Noah playing for a team other than the Knicks.

“It's hard. Because ever since I've met him I've always known him wanting to be a Knick, be here in New York. And I feel like he really, he's an example of what New York is. He really embraces that and it was just tough for him not be able to play to his potential here and do the things that he wanted to.”
Horford's confidence in Noah should come as no surprise. The two won back-to-back National Championships together while they were at Florida. Furthermore, his status as a New York native had been well-established throughout his basketball career.
Unfortunately, there has been a massive rift between Noah and his hometown team as confrontations with head coach Jeff Hornacek has seemingly put a stamp on his time with the Knicks. That said, perhaps Horford is giving Noah his endorsement to potentially join the Celtics.
It goes without saying that Boston could use more help in the frontcourt. Noah's defensive skill set and chemistry with Horford could potentially assist their run in the Eastern Conference Playoffs.
