LaMelo Ball almost won Sunday's contest for the Charlotte Hornets against the Detroit Pistons. Almost. Unfortunately, Lady Luck didn't smile in his favor as the Pistons went on to win the game in overtime.
Still, what LaMelo did was pretty remarkable and clutch. After PJ Washington recovered a missed Miles Bridges shot to tie the game at 116 with 4.1 second left, Ball didn't give up on trying to end the contest and proceeded to steal the ball from Killian Hayes off the inbound pass. However, the youngster missed his jumper from distance in what could have been his biggest shot of the season so far.
