No one likes to lose, plain and simple. Unfortunately, the Charlotte Hornets have now dropped six straight games after Wednesday night's lost to the Chicago Bulls. Despite that, they are still above .500 in a tight Eastern Conference and are sitting at the ninth seed.
They have struggled mightily shooting the ball recently and even had games where they shot less than 20 percent in the losing streak. The cold shooting nights are a key factor to their rough stretch of games. LaMelo Ball snapped out of the cold stretch vs. the Bulls though, by putting up a team-high 33 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.
The individual performance is awesome, but Ball wants to win more than anything. He pointed out the teams flaws in the postgame press conference.

“We have long periods of time where we're not getting a bucket,” the Hornets star said. “The other teams scoring back and forth , it makes playing from behind way harder.”
The Hornets do have an odd stretch where they can't seem to buy a bucket for 3-4 minutes. Plus, they fail to get stops in between that time period, which allows the opposing team to score at will and slow down the Hornets. They have a lot to figure out on both sides of the ball, but defense can be a great start. Getting stops on one end of the floor normally translates into points on the other in transition. They can let that dictate what they do on the offensive side of the ball. You know the saying, defense turns into offense. It is still a true statement to this day for all the elite teams in the league.
On the bright side, the Hornets have a chance at redemption on Friday night against the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons have the worst record in the conference, so it should be a gimme game for Charlotte. That doesn't mean they should underestimate their competition, but they should manage to pull out a win in Detroit to snap the losing streak.
