On Sunday, April 11 at approximately 3:10 p.m. ET, Atlanta Hawks center Clint Capela was put to rest after Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges annihilated him for one of the sickest dunks we've seen this year.
Everyone loves to watch posterizing jams, and Bridges delivered in a big way on this one. Bridges elevated above the rim, cocked the ball back, and then threw it down like he was holding Thor's hammer:

While Bridges' dunk was spoiled by a tough 105-101 loss, people will be buzzing about it for a while. It has to be considered for the best dunk of the year. He also led the Hornets with 23 points on Sunday afternoon.
What makes this slam even more impressive is that Clint Capela is one of the league's best at blocking shots. He's averaging 2.3 blocks per game, which makes him someone most players avoid. Not for Miles Bridges, though, as he went up against one of the league's most fearsome rim protectors and came out on top in vicious fashion.
Bridges has been a solid player so far in his career. Bridges has mainly come off the bench for the Hornets this season, but injuries to LaMelo Ball and Gordon Hayward have him in the starting lineup now. Charlotte will need the 23-year-old to step up with this increased role.
The Hornets' record dropped to 27-25 on the season and a full game back of the Hawks for the No. 4 spot in the Eastern Conference. Even so, Miles Bridges should get plenty of positive press after this sick dunk.
