The Chicago Bulls are on their way to the playoffs, thanks to the Orlando Magic's win over the Cleveland Cavaliers Tuesday night. However, Chicago still has three regular-season games left, and they're looking pretty beat up.

This is the worst time for any team to suffer multiple, key injuries, especially a team that hasn't seen the playoffs in five years. Lonzo Ball is out for the rest of the season, while multiple starters including Alex Caruso and Javonte Green are game-time decisions.

Caruso has been dealing with back problems since the end of March. He suffered a back contusion on March 24 in the Bulls' loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. Now, he is dealing with back spasms. Although it's expected to be nothing long-term, back injuries should not be ignored. That raises the question, is the shooting guard playing Wednesday night against the Boston Celtics?

Is Alex Caruso Playing vs Celtics

Unfortunately, probably not. Caruso was added to the Bulls' injury report ahead of the Eastern Conference matchup.

Chicago sports reporter Daniel Greenberg tweeted the news Wednesday afternoon, identifying Caruso's injury as another back contusion.

While this is bad news for the Bulls moving forward, it might be best to have Caruso sit out. He has suffered through back pain the last few games with minimal minutes and productivity. The 28-year-old should focus on getting healthy for the Bulls' postseason run instead of risking a further injury in a virtually meaningless game.
