The peak of Joakim Noah came while he was with the Chicago Bulls. His two-year stay with the New York Knicks was a complete failure for everyone involved. But after being waived by the Knicks, Noah has the opportunity to join another team and attempt to resurrect his career.
Would a reunion with Chicago make sense for the former Defensive Player of the Year? Possibly, but Noah isn't sure about that yet. When asked if he would consider making a comeback, he told Madeline Kenney of the Chicago Sun-Times that “it's a tough question.”
Kenney points out that Noah's unceremonious split with the Bulls was partially related to Fred Hoiberg's decision to bring him off the bench. After two unsuccessful seasons with New York, Noah may be more open to a bench role.

Noah's NBA future is still uncertain. He was one of the best centers in basketball a few years ago and is now searching for a team who is willing to take a chance on him.
“I’m staying ready and focused,” said Noah, who’s working out “a couple of times” a day. “[Just] waiting if something good comes along.”
A return to Chicago could make sense if Joakim Noah is willing to take on a specific role, but then again, the Bulls are young in the frontcourt and would likely prioritize the development of their young bigs over all else.
